Here's the one I'm carrying today. A XX Barlow from 1974 with delrin covers. It's 50 years old, has great snap & the blades are still tight.
(That's more than I can say for some newer traditionals. And I'm not just talking about Case.)

Built on the #45 scout frame, these Greenbone single-spring Double-End Jacks aren't seen too often!!! The Clip is a tested, and the Spear is an XX, made during the transition to XX, late 1930s to 1940, still using the Case Tested-era Greenbone!!!

I’ve got a very similar one that’s only a year younger and it’s also got a lot of life left. These were clearly made to stand the test of time (and maybe some occasional misuse)
