Lets talk pocket slip / sheath / organizer carry

That's amazing and such a wonderful gift from your kid.
Looks like you may have a budding leather artist on your hands.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
I hope so. He loves working on any kind of project in the garage.
Really cool. That’s the good stuff right there!
I agree. Thanks.
That really cool. Even if I didn't use one before, I'd be using one from the kids.
Thanks. It’s in my pocket right now.

I guess I'm simply un-organized, and don't really care if my knives get banged around a little. Pocket slips have always seemed bulky to me, and only add to the time/effort to deploy. Coins, pocket knives in right front pocket. Keys, etc, in left front. Wallet and comb in right back pocket, left back pocket empty, except for the odd times that I put my phone there. Cargo pants pockets add storage area for multiple knives, which is why I wear them most of the time.

I AM impressed by how organized many of you are... I was not blessed with the "organization" gene...

same here ... I don't have knives of great value that I'm worried about scratches (although I do make an effort to keep keys in the opposite pants pocket). I did lose a knife once due to an unknown hole in my pocket ... preventing that would be the only reason I think I would ever use a slip for a really good knife I couldn't take a chance of losing. I think the larger footprint of a slip would work for casual/weekend wear ... for work (dress pants), I would be concerned a slip would print too much.

Ive used this clipped pocket sheath for trapper sized knives and it works well. I recently began using a couple of sizes of buckaroo sheathes and they work well too, but I havent quite gotten used to them. I carry a knife and keys in my front right pocket. my phone and wallet are usually in rear pockets or coat pockets. Many of my carhartt pants have a generous watch pocket, big enough for medium sized slipjoint pocket knives.
