Lightweight Backpacking Knife (Folder or Fixed)

M Mikel_24 that sounds like a neat area. Driving across Spain to Morocco sounds like a fun adventure.

From my place is like 11h driving (considering a couple pit stops for "refueling" and other mandatory requirements), thankfully almost no tolls. https://goo.gl/maps/KaE5m1vn3Fon2SKk6

Then you take the Ferry and cross the Strait of Gibraltar... and once you arrive to Ceuta (still Spain, requires crossing the border while on land) or Tanger (Morocco already, customs paperwork is done while on the boat)... you better take it easy, tigthen your seabelt and be 300% aware of the road and surroundings. They drive reaaaaaaally bad, cars might not even have ligths at night, livestock on the road anywhere, pot holes the size of Texas marked by a strip of small stones (road maintenance is hell in Morocco once you get out of the highway)... all fun and games LOL.

The north of Morocco is surprinsingly green, wet and I have been in flooded areas several times (Eastern Break). IF you want to get to the desert, you need to drive south a bit more. https://goo.gl/maps/fkZDiDp2BJ1z3UsE8 Merzouga is called the "entrance to the Sahara" but in truth is an isolated sand patch, the real Sahara is still far away.

Comming back to the knives topic... when I have been to Morocco I have carried a small neck knife I got in a knifemakers Christmas exchange here in BladeForums long ago. Does not get in the way while driving as a belt knife would, light and discrete as it does not draw attention as a pocket clip or belt knife would. I am not a fan of neck knives because I usually carry a backpack and it gets in the way, but for these situation they are awesome!
