Both are definite beauties! I love Mikes execution of the eureka pattern and that’s awesome you have one, I don’t think he made many. What’s the handle material on the other one? It looks like it has some awesome coloring. Two of my three Morans. One is with Mike for some TLC.

Thanks! The eureka is an earlier one, when he was making them along with several other patterns. The smaller boys' knife is covered in horn, which has that cool streaking going through it--mesmerizing.Both are definite beauties! More and more I’m starting to appreciate horn as a handle material. Never owned a knife with it, but it always looks so cool. Totally agree on mesmerizing! Thanks! Killer example! Robertson slip by chance? So much talk of Eurekas, I had to share the one I was able to acquire a couple months back. I’m definitely sad Mike doesn’t make this one anymore.

I’ve heard that horn doesn’t do well in some climates but so far it has been fine for me. It is very pretty material and seems just as durable as any other natural material.More and more I’m starting to appreciate horn as a handle material. purchase a tub of Absorbine Hooflex and treat it periodically. Keeps it from shrinking and cracking.I’ve heard that horn doesn’t do well in some climates but so far it has been fine for me. It is very pretty material and seems just as durable as any other natural material.
