Just checking as you had said you where sending in a note to ask for more info ???

THANKS !!!
Got a reply to the overall e-mail but not to that specific question Tom :(

in the early 70's BKI was called in to court by the state prosecuting a man charged with using a Gravity Knife made by BKI [which is illegal under cal law].
As i under stand the engineering dept displayed samples of the 110 in different stages of its assembly and thus showed that they indeed DID NOT make a gravity knife.
However it was found that a 110 could be converted to operate as such.
thus BKI created an engineering design change was made as a promise to the court and state of Cal to prevent this from being able to be done.
that change was noted with the addition of dots on either side of the 110 so that law enforcement could tell at a glance that it was the mark of a legal bladed knife.
thus the dots tho used as a dating device are in fact a engineering change prompted by a court action which also improved the knife.

now should any of the real historians have any corrections Please say so as i do realy hate to give out bad info....
