stripped mine about 10 seconds after i got them, a while ago. Use em hard, put away wet!

Yes, it is. I leave mine fully clothed (they're very modest, and I don't want to embarrass them), but other people have stripped theirs, and I must say I like the look. Once you strip them, just wipe them down with some mineral oil from time to time to protect them.
