New 14 run

There were some awesome cover choices for this run, but the only one I ended up with is a Tortoise Shell Acrylic because it's one of my favorite cover options. Otherwise the #14 is too small for my tastes to make a focus of my collection. Probably a good thing too, because I would have went hog-wild if I cared for the pattern more and ended up with nearly all of them like I did for the #78 run last year.

I agree as far as it being a little to small but for the single blade #14 although still makes a great fondler :D
But the 2 blade #14 is mmmm mmmm good :thumbsup:

I think if you are going to make requests, be specific.
How ambiguous is "pick me a good one" or "pick me a nice one". One mans trash.....

I asked for some popcorn with semi matching covers . If that wasn’t possible some somewhat matching decent stag .
I don’t remember asking for a several cracks in the cover though lol but it was a added bonus with the non matching covers. Not sure how much more specific I could be and still be realistic.
Anyway water under the bridge but since you mentioned it there ya go .I didn’t ask just for a nice one just gave some general direction and was told that they would pick a nice one and that’s what I got lol.
Edit : On a side note I ordered another Cripple Creek from another dealer with no requests that’s waiting for me at home for my mail call :D
My expectations are not high now and will be happy with it regardless since I won’t be dreaming of getting some popcorn and or matching covers.
I’m just going to enjoy it like my flawless Elderberry Cripple Creek :thumbsup:

The CC Elderberry is arguably the best #14 of the the entire run.

My new Cripple Creek Arrived and couldn’t be happier. Blades are dead centered , walk and talk may rival my Elderberry even the secondary has a nice snap . Smooth on all transitions with some decent stag with matching covers and only a slight difference in coloring with the non show side having a little more Carmel coloring to it .
This one is like a breath of fresh air compared to my first one . Feels great in hand and she’ll be in my pocket tomorrow and many days to come :)
The covers are the perfect thickness for my taste to not to fat and not to thin and match perfect in thickness .
Not bad for a blind buy if I must say so myself .
No special requests on this one and SMKW gave me a keeper :thumbsup:

I’m just glad he had one left that would be a winner! Doesn’t usually work out that way,,, from my past experience.
