New Tanto CF Begleiter!(Ki4458T3) (GAW test within)

Thank you again, I will talk to our team and see if we can make a lefty run each year or something like that. But first, we need some data collections, your reply is very valuable thank you!

In a perfect world, you'd have liner-lock versions of most of your knives available with Micarta scales or maybe some nice wood scales. You'd make the proper portion of them left-handed so everybody could have a pristine show-side. You'd have premium and vanguard versions available. Maybe you could have clip options in case someone wanted deep carry.

That's kind of what you've been doing with the Gemini. (For anyone who doesn't know, check out the diversity of available models below on BladeHQ.) I really hope that trend continues. I just got one in brown Micarta. It looks great. The action is good. I love that you went with the thinner blade stock on this one. This is the Gemini for me. I've been away from home but I'm looking forward to some EDC time when I get back.

Thank you, we will do it again in the future.

I like the fancy lockbar cutaway on the new titanium version. I use my blue Begleiter everyday and I'm planning to buy the brass and copper versions once they come out on BladeHQ. Will Kizer ever sell a deep carry clip as an accessory for the Vanguard Begleiters? I saw that Azo made an Instagram post saying that he was designing one. It would be great to buy a clip that fits the existing scale holes.

Thank you, the deep carry pocket clip might not fit the existing scale holes, it might need a new hole for that, cuz the clip is different shape and angle from the old one.

The premium Begleiter got a new brother which is with full Carbon Fiber handle inlaid liner lock and S35VN Tanto Blade! By Adding jimping on the spine of the blade, Azo improved the traction of this great ergonomic classic knife! What do you think?

Where are those available? Are they an exclusive? I've always liked the begleiter design except for the original clip.

Picked up a Clutch: Ti scales with brown textured micarta inserts and S35VN steel. Becoming one of my favorites. Becoming a Kizer fan.

While rarely listed or advertised, I've really come to appreciate:

- Captured pivots and easy screws
- T8 instead of T6 body screws
- Recessed screws for deep carry clips

The first one is the most important but getting all three really makes my day.

Just a general information; the most used Torx sizes on Kizer knives (and many other brands) are T6 (usually only on the pocket screws) and T9 for pivot and body screws...
I have yet to find the first Kizer knife with a T8 Torx screw or pivot (and I'm a Kizer authorised dealer since 2014).
Wrong Torx size used (T8 instead of T9) is by far the most commonly made mistake in my experience.

This sounded strange to me so I checked. I tested three folding knives from Kizer. All three take a T8 at the pivot. All three are too small to accept a T9.

Just for fun, I checked a bunch of other random folders that I thought were T8. Out of maybe ten knives, only the Kershaw Clash and one side of the CJRB Feldspar were large enough to accommodate a T9. I'm not sure about the Clash but T9 is a tight fit and I'm guessing it's nominal for a T8. The Feldspar has a slot on both sides and while T8 works in both, T9 only works in one. Could one side be a T9 to accommodate people who only have one set of Torx bits?

If that's the case, it would literally be the only T9 slot I've ever encountered. I'm just a casual EDC enthusiast but I mostly see T6, T8, and occasionally T10.

I like the option of manually opening with the fuller.

I wish there was an alternative to the tanto blade.

I like it! Especially the one with carbon fiber handles. IMO the shredded carbon looks really cool. Would like to see more of that. Looks great and keeps the weight down. Win win.
