NOTABLE PAIRS : Only traditionals

Thank you, it's a pretty yet tough knife. I need to hunt one down.....

Regards, Will

At times displaying things in pairs or groups has a positive effect on the appearance of the individuals within the group. As in flowers, fruit, motorcycles, ducks, dollars and seemingly in this case, knives.
Fantastic pairs showing up here the last couple of days. Thanks to all.

A pair of camel bone blues:

 That Wharny whittler is gorgeous!

Case/Bose Lockback Whittlers

The swedging on those Case/Bose collabs is always some of the best I've seen. Outstanding!

This pair of Davisons just makes me feel like a better man lol

I'd be standing a little taller with those, for sure! What kind of scale material was used for the top one?

Forum Knives' tang and shield

It's pretty neat how the smooth wood and rough bone just seem a natural match. Can't wait for the '16.

Tip of the hat to TsarBomba.

WOW do those two look good together! I think I may well have become addicted to that amber jigged bone since I got my first 6375. :D My poor bank account... :p

Speaking of which, two of my newer acquisitions turned out to make a pretty nice pair themselves. I keep finding information that leads me to believe the Pal was made by Camillus, but that's just speculation.

Twin Sons, of different Mothers! Nice!

From what I see, it looks like most of these pairings are siblings, or just similar looking pairs. Is it alright to post my favorite pairings in terms of versatility, not just looks? I'll see if I can do both.

pistonsandgears, Nice images of some fine pairs. I particularly like your Whittlers.

Here's a couple of Case/Bose Collaborations that go well together, I think.

Here are some black and silver friends:

It's simply what is notable in your Traditional book, feel free to interpret as you will:thumbup:

I like to pair up these two Northwoods - Hawthorne and Norfolk Whittler - I call them Coffee and Cream:

That Hawthorne is choice! You've got an exceptional looker there, rich bone!

Thanks, Will

This weekend, after I peruse the flea markets, I'll post a few pairings. Hopefully some new ones :D
That coffee and cream sure looks nice Derek, two wharnies would be an interesting pair, especially with different grind angles.

Thanks, Will! That is actually mammoth ivory, but it does sort of look like bone.

Thanks, neighbor! Four blades total with these two together - lots of utility there. I almost never carry one of these without the other.

Here's another looksie:

Just added these two Keen Kutters from a flea market. Taking them home for some TLC.

Two beauties!! Love the bone on both of them. You had me going there for a second ....I thought the knives were framing Pleasant Valley Ohio and not PA. I have a great interest in Malabar Farm
