And a follow-up description sure to make even the toughest man cry for mercy:

Minimum = lowest number on the chart

Maximum = largest number on the chart

Top Ten Cutoff = If we lined everybody up in order and took the first 10.

Bottom Ten Cutoff = If we lined everybody up in order and tool the last 10.

Average = well, duh...

Harmonic mean = the reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of reciprocals.

Trimmean = calculates the mean taken by excluding a percentage of data points from the top and bottom tails of a data set.

Geomean = Returns the geometric mean of an array or range of positive data.

Median = literally the number in the exact middle.

Standard Deviation = a measure of how widely values are dispersed from the average value (the mean).

Variance = variation from the lowest to the highest number

Kurtosis = the relative peakedness or flatness of a distribution compared with the normal distribution. Positive kurtosis indicates a relatively peaked distribution. Negative kurtosis indicates a relatively flat distribution.

Skewness = The degree of asymmetry of a distribution around its mean. Positive skewness indicates a distribution with an asymmetric tail extending toward more positive values. Negative skewness indicates a distribution with an asymmetric tail extending toward more negative values.

Mode = Returns the most frequently occurring, or repetitive, value in an array or range of data

Another interesting study I did was "slenderness"...or for some "beefy-ness"...:D

Basically it's a ratio of the Weight divided by the Height.

"Beefy-est" Ratio award goes to:

Yvsa

"Slender-est" Ratio award goes to:

Clydetz

Pendentive-- thanks for putting this all together. The labor-intesive nature of many of your posts here is simply amazing.

pendentive -

So I won the "Slender-est" Ratio award; is that good or are you trying to say I'm a wimp?

Harmonic mean = the reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of reciprocals.

And all this time I was thinking it was a musical term...

Great analysis, Dan!

1. Am I in the bottom Ten?

Bottom Ten Cutoff = If we lined everybody up in order and tool the last 10

2. And what exactly did you mean by "tooling the bottom ten?"
