They agreed to take it back. I will get a seal pup in return. They also took pics of the sealpup i m about to get to make sure it doesn t have the same problem.

Just a heads up because some people care about this: I’ve been seeing a lot of new seal pups that are made in China instead of Taiwan where they used to be made.

I got an sp1 one time, and half the blade wasn't even sharpened. The edge was still flat. I sent it back. Get a Kabar. My Dogs Head came out of the box nearly perfect. The tip was slightly off. Nothing a few minutes with a coarse stone couldn't fix.

The Dog's Head is on my "to buy" list. I've bought the Mark I, and BK-62, and they are both wonderful. I love KA-BAR's 1095 CroVan.

Seal pup and sp1 totally different knives I own and like both carry the seal pup more because of the weight. And stainless properties but I would never think of subjecting my seal pup elite to the things my sp1 have had to endure.
