This makes more sense. I’ve seen darker black linen over certain batches so that was my inspiration to dye it. I did canvas as well but prefer the linen in hand.
Haha, sorry to do that to ya. And i now own 2 sets of black linen scales guess its time to give dyeing a go
Hah! I used the stove top liquid RIT dye method. Took a while, I used salt and even the separate fixative procedure. But it was worth it. It’s black as night and 0 colour comes off the scale, even washing it with soap. Now I’m trying to sweet talk Jo into giving me a scrap of TT to try it on. I don’t have any extra TT.
Out “camping” with the family for an annual trip. Getting some bushcrafty action in around the gravelled campsite here:
Nice. Wengers are the only ones to have in that style in my opinion. I have one by him and one of his models made by Marchand.
I just got an Outdoor Axe as a gift from my wife! Can't wait to split some firepit and camping wood! The HDFK is a beauty too!
I do believe that may be Maroon micarta. I’m not sure but I’m sure @Jo the Machinist can tell us! Edit: Wait, is Maroon now called double red?
