Got a few emails on how to post clickable thumbnails. Thought we could use this for a couple of days and when everyone who wants too gets it we can delete the thread.
Keep it clean guys
biggrin.gif
(Pictures of knives only).
If they are for sale do not mention it here, once we get it right you can move it to the appropriate forum.)
Thanks,
Here are the instructions I mailed out to a few folks.

The code I paste into a post for thumbnails and clicking looks like this:
Edit this thread to get the code
It starts with ""

<A HREF="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=107945&a=7098886&p=33413517&Sequence=0&res=high" TARGET=_blank> </A>

I keep a copy of it in a document and paste the links from photopoint in then copy the whole mess in the post.
So you may want to start off by copying the above lines into a document to save.

The top link (URL =,,,) is the large picture.
To get the large picture:

Log into Photopoint with your id and password click on a thumbnail (large picture shows up with your text and the photopoint stuff).
Then click on the picture again (the only thing that should show up is the picture - no text no photopoint logos - this is the one to use).
Copy this URL (or address)
For Internet explorer click on the address box (the address entire address should change color. Then right click and select copy.

Now paste that address replacing the one between "[URL= and the first " ]" in the code above.

Now we have to get the thumbnail address and put it in the bottom address of the code.

Get to the thumbnail of the picture you just copied the address for. (go back twice).

Right Click on the thumbnail

Select Properties

Go to the address line and position the Cursor just to the left of http
Move the cursor down and a tad to the right so that the whole address is highlighted in another color.
(I. E. only displays two lines you can be sure that you have the whole address selected when the end looks something like Sequence=0 or Sequence=1)

Right Click and select copy.

Paste this on the second address of code Starting at the second occurrence of http and ending before .
Note the Height and Width that will show up in the address (that is a hint that it is a thumbnail)

Now copy the whole mess into your post.
If you want to practice, do it in Custom (so I can delete it later) let me know if it gives you any trouble and I can get in there and see what is wrong and email you. When we get it right I can go in and delete our stuff.

Hope this helps some.
Please feel free to email me if I can help out.
This stuff seems crazy at first, but it is not hard after you give it a shot a couple of times.
I hope each of you and yours are having a great weekend!
Best regards,
Gus

Ray Edit your post to see what I did.
Senator is doing something a little different. He is centering a picture in the thread. Start with the basic code then you can add some of the commands Kelly is using.
This thread was in response to some specific questions from about 9 guys. - Gus

Thanks Kelly,
Folks, start with the basics, get it working then add Kelly's code examples for Cenering and adding text.

It is not a big deal and we can keep this open for a while to practice.

Ray: Here is an example after adding some of Kelly's hints.

Crap! I wish there was a way to paste the commands in the message so that people could simply copy them.

Click on the EDIT button and copy the above commands. Just replace the link sections with the big and small picture links and you have it.

Lmao!!!! Well, it is a thumbnail cause it acts as a hyperlink. Do you have to make a smaller version of the same pic to use as the second url??? I'll try that.

Yeasssss, third time was the charm!!

To make your own thumbnails, first make a smaller version of the pic and post it online somewhere. Aol users have My FTP Space. Click edit on any of the posts in this thread with a thumbnail in it. Cut and paste the code into an email form. Then remove the urls that are in in the code and put your's in their place. Put the small picture's url in the second line and the bigger version in the first line.

Wow, I'm gonna go update my web site with this!!!

Glad you like it.

Now that everyone is figuring out how to post pics, I expect to see lots of new posts in the Gallery Forum.
