Richard, can you put an edge that can whittle hair yet has 'bite' like Dozier's edges? (to clarify, I can't whittle hair with Doziers but it pops hairs and has a 'bitey' aggresive edge?

If the original edge bevel is 23-25deg per side, can you rebevel it to 15deg per side (or less, say 12deg)?

Hi richard i just sent my blades today from cleveland you should receive them in a day or two

Just sent my zt
0551 in and from all the great reviews of the skill i cant wait ro get it back

Hi Richard, It was awesome visiting with you the other day and helping me understand and improve my skill on the paper wheels. I'll be practicing very soon and ordering a set of 1" wheels to replace my 3/4". I hope I get the chance to meet up with you again. The B&B you suggested was also excellent. Good peeps all around. THANKS!!

i hope what i showed you helps you out with your sharpening. the next time you come down they will give you a deal on a room again since you never stayed long.

Just got my knife back from the Richard J Spa and I gotta say the edge is freaking amazing!!! It was probably more work than Richard thought. It is a Grayman Dua folder. They come with a working "toothy" edge, that i didnt quite understand and I still dont. But with Richards mad skills and his magic paper wheels he brought a new "life" to this knife! It looks much better and arrived shaving sharp!! Very impressed RJ!!! People this guy knows how to sharpen a freaking knife! He should be charging a lot more than he does actually! I will be posting a comparison between my two Duas. One still has the factory edge on it and we ll see how it does against Richards edge?! Im putting all my money on RJ's. Thanks man!!

Richard does great work & his turn-around time is very fast. He's sharpened knives for me I thought could never take a good edge.

Just sent a ZT 0150 Dagger, ZT 0100 fixed blade CPM3-V, a couple of random Kershaws (CPM-154 blur, 14C28N Ener-g) etc. and they all arrived back fantastic! Convexed them all, and even sharpened my Fire-buddy's knife for free. We're both stoked - thank you for the terrific fast and friendly service! Definitely will be sending more.

P.S. The dagger's edge is just plain MEAN. :D

Sent Richard an Emerson cqc 7bt that a local "sharpener" royally F*****. (The chisel grind was sharpened on v grind wheels and the tanto edge was rounded) Richard nursed it back to health and put the tanto edge back on it. A lot of work that could have been avoided if I'd just sent it to him in the first place. Anyways...the knife is shaving sharp and I'm no longer embarrased to own it. (The edge was screwed up so bad I thought about just giving it away, now I edc it) Richard really is the man with a plan. Thanks.

Kind Regards,
1S1K

Richard is a very nice guy who puts a great edge on a knife. Just got back an Izula from him today, which he convexed and brought to a fine polish on his paper wheels. Haven't played with it much yet beyond the usual fun around the house but it is a very nice edge. It is sharper than any factory edge for sure, but what really impresses me is the degree of uniformity and smoothness he achieves, which indicates to me that the edge will likely last a very long time.

Packin up a few knives to ship to Ohio so the edge Wizard can work on them!! I cant wait to see what RJ can do with these not so sharp out of the box knives!! I bet they come back splittin hairs!! Richard freakin rocks!!
