I had a Borla cat-back system on my old 2005 4.8 Silverado and it sounded great. Not obnoxious like Flowmaster or Black Widow stuff.

The one female agent in the interview who wanted to make sure I understood it was a new age and women could be the boss asked me if I could take orders from women several times.

I answered "well, I have a mother and I listened to her for years"...not sure if that really impressed her or not.



(Clearly, I'd rather be a smartass than actually get the job. LOL)

I recently watched a video where it was said that a large majority of 6.2L’s weren’t affected by the bad parts, so hopefully you’ll never have to deal with that nightmare.
I’ve been contemplating buying a 2019-2025 Silverado single cab long bed with the 5.3L L83 for work truck use, but the cylinder deactivation nonsense is a ticking time bomb.
 
Holy shit...

Just took the dog along the side of the house to relieve himself, when all of a sudden all hell broke loose and a giant tree fell from the other side of the property down and across the creek. (Thankfully away from the house.)

It sounded like Armageddon.

Kobe was not amused...and neither was I because I couldn't tell where it was coming from at first.


And I just got done spending a few grand on cleaning up the mess from Helene and recent storms. WTF...
