Duck is fine, thanks!
Still caged nights in the house, but days outside supervised with her flock.

Interestingly, they gave her options of care levels. Eg. a local vs anesthesia.
It was a done deal at $2K + $650 for the first bandaid.
I’m considering hiring a Pinkerton Guard for this duck.
My daughter loves her flock of ducks, but she'd eat the first one that would cost $2000 at the vet!

Dragonflies are awesome!

There is that one dog that you will never forget. The one that will make you cry no matter how long it has been gone.

This is Sadie. I lost her last year to a brain tumor. She was only eight. I found her at a shelter after she had just recovered from being slammed against a wall by her former owner. That cost her a leg. The vet called the police, and the prick was prosecuted. This happened when she was only four months old. It was love at first sight for both of us.

She was the most obedient and best behaved dog I’ve ever had. Truly the sweetest creature to grace the earth with her paw print. I still cannot bring myself to replace her 😢IMG_0384.jpeg

I'm sorry for your loss. We lost our Sadie just last month. She was also a rescue, but with not quite as bad a story. Be happy in the knowledge you found each other.
