Oh no, thank you sir! I love your designs because they remind me of the knives I saw in the antique stores as a kid in the 1980s
In Pennsylvania and New England. I recall seeing a few rope and rigging knives in Nantucket back in the day. Here is another I love, especially the tube art that came with it.

Glad we see eye to eye!!
Congrats on voting, and on the Stag knife!!! 😲

Newest addition to my very modest CC SFO collection.
Absolutely love the semi hafted covers here, gives it a very humble no frills feel that pairs spot on with the steel liners and bolsters.
Wouldn’t a standard Charlie TC just be wonderful with these honestly hafted covers, does one exist already?

H Honest_Thomas Beautiful addition and very pleased you've found a knife you want to carry and use-despite 'rarity' Carrying & worshipping

Given a choice, I always opt for all-steel construction. Many like brass for its decorative aspect but I could dwell in a brass-free knife zone ....:D

Your knife has its ancestor, here is the one TC I use a lot and it improves all the time .From 2012 when Charlie launched the TC Barlow Voyager

Will Power Will Power I’ve a problem, I fondle, carry and use all my knives.
I want my rewards instantly, I’ve no time for playing the long game and waiting on potential “profits”🤣, I’m a terrible “businessman”.

I’ve slowly come to the same conclusion as yourself in regards to Brass v Steel, it hasn’t always been so though. I’ve always seen brass as more traditional but that was when my interests were around modern folders.
In the world of traditional folders you’re not going to mistake my #35 Camp Knife (also in the pocket today) for anything modern just because of the steel liners.

I’ll no doubt flip flop back and forth on this before the hobby is up but one thing is certain, I just could never leave a poor knife sat in its packaging, might as well not exist.

Will Power Will Power Will and H Honest_Thomas Thomas,

I also have a strong preference for all steel construction and really enjoy my all steel GECs and wish they would make them at a higher ratio (vs brass) than they do now.

On some knives I appreciate brass, but mostly tolerate it. I enjoy brass construction when the knife has brass bolsters and with some other specific examples of covers.

On the other hand I also really like nickel silver construction too. Charlie's Black Jack is my lone example.

There seem to be some vintage Case knives with NS construction.

Do you know of other production makers using NS instead of brass or steel?

waynorth waynorth Charlie, I don’t know how to explain it other than the knives you’ve had a part in have a soul to them. I feel this way about many GECs but have a different attraction towards yours. They beg to be carried and used and make lifetime memories with.

I have a few of your SFOs and am actively pursuing a few others, all destined for my pockets.

I look forward to future releases, and as always, I hope luck is on my side in scoring one. However, this City Stock hasn’t entered the knife roll since it landed on my doorstep and if it’s the last SFO of yours I score I am content!

Your enthusiasm for this hobby is infectious, your willingness to answer questions and chat about knives is admirable, and your knack for creating instant classics is legendary!!!

Thank you!
