Thanks! Honestly, it was a very tough decision. There was a lot of great stag on that run.I can see why you favor that 44. Great looking Stag.
What does 44 S mean?I love the stag 44's, this years Rendezvous they brought out a box filled with stag 44 S knives, many had great stag, picked up 3 of them, one I gave to a neighbor. Wish I had picked up a few more.

You are correct, John. That looks easy to pinch open?
Great knife. Nice spread.
The "S" usually stands for "Store" Model. What does 44 S mean?
Thank you John. The "S" usually stands for "Store" Model.
The knife might have a small defect, usually not very noticeable, and they keep them for sale in their store rather than shipping them to retailers.
What does 44 S mean?
I see what you did there
Very nice collection of fine Gunstock knives! This thread has been idle for far too long. Here's where I'm at on collecting Gunstocks which has become my favorite pattern by a wide margin. Still looking for that mythical stag 44. Once I lock that down I may start looking for some 76's but those are even harder to find. I had 2 Robeson (queen made) gunstocks at one time and for reasons I can't explain sold them off. They were extremely well made.

Great collection! I'm glad you revived this thread cause I have never seen it. I'm actually waiting on the jig bone with brass bolsters 44 to complete my set, but when I get it in the mail I'll post a pic. This thread has been idle for far too long. Can’t wait to see your whole crew Tyler! As you can see I had to go scope out a sweet user coco 44 from ephsea to replace the gem that now resides in your holster. Win-Win!Great collection!
