great pics! I've worked on the building sites for 21 years in Newcastle England , and never once come across a sparky ( electrician) who uses a folding pocket knife. They all use Stanley knives ( what u guys in the us call them? Utility knives?) But your option seems like a no brainer. With me being a dryliner it would stop them all pestering me for spare Stanley blades 😂
Haha. Yea y’all definitely usually have an unlimited supply of them. I’ve heard them called Stanley, utility, and razor knives. All the same here.

I will say I have seen a huge growth in folding knives being used on jobs here over the last few years. Brands like Klein and Milwaukee are making them so it gets more people using folding knives. I still have and use an insulated stripping knife if I’m working hot/live stuff.

Seems like you go thru quite a bit of those voltage detectors. Do you lose them or do they burn out?
I normally keep two, one in the cup holder and one in a bag with my meter and other tester type things. I was down to one as of Friday and none on Monday. Called the supply house on Monday to set one back for me. Needed one before I got by there and bought the Fluke from Lowe’s. Found the one I lost yesterday and two more in another work truck…..

Lately I’ve been using the Klein ncvt-2 Dcdavis Dcdavis but before that I was using the Fluke 1AC or whatever its called. Another one I dug was the Santronics Ultimate 3000. Never used the Southwire…have the Klein ncvt-4ir as well, but that’s really only carried for when I know I’m heading to a heating or cooling call.

I’ve never used the Klein one. I did use the Santronics ones for many years. Really liked them. Our supply house has basically went to Southwire and I’ve grown to like them. The ones that are audible are real convenient, especially if you’re working by yourself. They have a little flashlight on the end also

Took apart/repaired my Logitech G613 mechanical keyboard. Enter key started acting weird, typing k;\+ instead of enter. Quick fix. A little alcohol on it then blew it out with compressed air. No, I have never repaired a keyboard before. I have built computers though and am pretty good with electronics. Ah crap, after editing the p key is acting up. Nvm, not a quick fix, I may have spilled a very small amount of water on it.
