I really like that color combo on a Mora, but I've never ordered it because I thought I might appreciate a brighter, more visible combo if I ever dropped the knife somewhere.Does a little bit of green count?

I agree! I would have preferred orange. The only reason I got this color was that it was the only color LL Bean carried when my wife realized we had accumulated a lot of Bean Bucks and told me to use them to get myself a knife. Who was I to argue?I really like that color combo on a Mora, but I've never ordered it because I thought I might appreciate a brighter, more visible combo if I ever dropped the knife somewhere.

You were probably wise not to argue.I agree! I would have preferred orange. The only reason I got this color was that it was the only color LL Bean carried when my wife realized we had accumulated a lot of Bean Bucks and told me to use them to get myself a knife. Who was I to argue?
If there is a Grail Knife for modern Buck 119's that is it! OHI've posted photos of this one before. It's always THE ONE that comes to mind when I think GREEN in any of my knives. It's one of Buck's Master Series knives in BG-42 steel. I believe the 'U' in the '119 MSU' tang stamp indicates 1998 as the year of manufacture. My very first post on BladeForums was to the Buck subforum here 16 years ago, asking the knowlegeable people here about the details of the knife. As expected, I got the answers I needed here and I've been hanging around ever since.

At the time I'd picked it up, I sort of had a feeling about that. Found it at what I felt was a decent enough price to take the chance on it. I'd later hoped to find one of the 110 Master Series knives as well. But at that time, every example I could find was priced crazy high (to me, anyway). If there is a Grail Knife for modern Buck 119's that is it! OH
I have a canoe from that RR Stroke of Luck series, and I've posted it on St. Patrick's Day a time or two also. It does bring the bling! All I have is this gawdy Rough Rider knife, I carry it on St. Patrick's Day.
