Some SAK love

Sorry. I should have specified "in Florida".

"turned off" means "dead" ... or end of the current "life", whichever you prefer.

I read that "Fact" in the Miami Herald, in 2002 or 2003.
Might it have been an April 1 edition of the Miami Herald? 🤓
Putting some geographic restrictions on the claim makes sense (if I stay in Michigan, I really have no worries about being killed by shark or coconut), but fewer traffic fatalities than coconut fatalities just doesn't pass the "smell test" for me. According to this report
https://www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/crashreports/crash_facts_2002.pdf
there were 3143 traffic fatalities in Florida in 2002, about 8.6 deaths per day on average. I just can't buy that more than 8 people were getting killed in Florida each day by falling coconuts!

Anyway, your opinions on SAK models seems right on the money to me.:cool::thumbsup:
I'm a big fan of my Huntsman, and I think I'd probably like a Fieldmaster even more because of the backside philips screwdriver, but I've never actually bought a Fieldmaster.

Okay, so I have no idea how this happened. Haven’t had a SAK since I was a little kid, and really didn’t ever think about them. But on a whim a couple weeks ago I ordered a cadet and pioneer x, just to see if I’d like one of them, and I’d send the other back. Decided on the cadet, but after a couple days, I decided also to keep the pioneer. And I was struck with just how useful the other tools were in my day to day around the house… tightening loose knobs, repairing little things that had been sitting because at the time I didn’t feel like tracking down a screwdriver or something to pry a battery out with, etc. And then I figured I’d just try a classic for the keychain since they’re pretty cheap. I’m not really sold on the size of the classic, but I ended up using the toothpick and tweezers for random stuff, mainly just to see if they were useful. And then I figured why not get one SAK with everything I might need for all the little day to day I do around the house and with my other hobbies, so the Ranger found its way here. This is all within a couple of weeks, what is happening?!!! 😂

You probably also need a Climber, an Explorer, a SwissChamp, and a Huntsman.
