I remember them from the old days...from their days in Gettysburg, PA. They had a good business then, and I've owned many of their fine products. Only one left now. Sorry it's turned out so poorly...

Aye. Everyone thinks they are an exception to the rule- and so did I. I thought enough patience would pay off. I dismissed many forum comments as folks that just didn't wanna stick it out, or as cliched interweb trolling. "A jealous Ex", I thought. For that, I sincerely apologize. BF is not the typical interweb arena, and I should have hearkened.

After three years of waiting and behaving professionally and courteously with them, they treated our customer loyalty very casually in the end. They made no effort to amend it, and offered no real acknowledgement that they screwed up or were grateful for the interest free loan (payment was required in full up front on all knives). To not yet have begun fabrication of a tool ordered and paid for three years prior (GSO12 in my case) and to still be deliberately obtuse about production timelines when they KNOW better is profoundly disrespectful, at best. I would rather have my money stolen outright than to be betrayed by someone begging trust and faith, claiming to be David against the Goliaths. It feels much worse. I am echoing sentiments posted hundreds of times here already. In my emails, one can see how the timeline lengthens each time I press them on a delivery estimate. They knew. But they stalled and obfuscated with each message... With a loyal 3 year customer, who had already purchased numerous knives and had another $1k paid up front.

The 4 Limited was promised as a quick, couple of months production since they were existing knives that didn't meet spec for another model (originally to be the GSO4 scandi). They just needed a face lift and would be adapted for a new pattern.... They are now two plus years in the making, according to the email referenced by Hale Storm, and even this month they still blame the delay on the sheath maker (still Sagewood?). They used that very excuse a year ago with me, as you can see in the emails. But they worded it carefully, and didn't actually state explicitly that Sagewood had failed them or made any mistakes- just that they were "waiting on the sheaths to arrive". It implies that Sagewood is responsible for the delay without actually owning it themselves or outright accusing someone else of failure. But why are they still waiting on sheaths? is it because they never placed the final order? Only ordered a small portion up front (some appear on their instagram)? Waited until hunting season and Brian was out of the shop for a month? And so on for other models. The 12 and 4 Limited are examples where the willful deception was so egregious that it snapped even me out of my lull.

That very type of verbal specificity about the 4 Limited sheaths (implying others are at fault without accusing and supporting the claim or owning it themselves), the dodgy non-committal statements/timelines.......indications of character and intent.
I'm really just sad about it all.

After years of broken commitments and VERY questionable business practices, the folks at S!K are now doing this:

I love the fact that they cannot fulfill orders from 2016 (that they said would take less than 8 months to get done), but they have time do bring this knife to market.

Typical. They can't invest the time to complete 3+ year old paid up front orders but the do have time to design a new folder. Survivors will no doubt throw money at them.

It's like watching my ex kiss another guy the day after we broke up. Technically, our relationship is over now, but to move on so soon- it shows me that they had checked out on me a long time ago. I wish they would have at least given it a respectable mourning period, and kept the new one under wraps until a socially appropriate time. That's pretty f%$*ing heartless and disrespectful to those who have been waiting it out.

Dave, I hope that you were made good, true and taken care of promptly as far as your refund(s) was (are) concerned.

Regarding their "folder": even the rendering is crap!

I am really shocked that Millit has gotten into bed with S!K. Prior to S!K, they seemed (at least from the outside) to be doing good work. While I am sure that Millit has their reasons, it seems to be just plain stupid to partner so closely with a S!K given their abysmal history. There might be some benefit to Millit, but I am sure that there are a lot of people like me who will have nothing to do with them as long as they are working with S!K.

Im amazed at how people like them and some of the other big scammers like Will Moon can still pull the wool over so many people's eyes still. You'd think seeing all of the comments about lack of results on instagram alone would tip these people off.
