Yeah, that's the same pattern for sure, my friend. Interestingly, just now going to the Shiro website News page I see the knife in question listed as Paper Clips (Braces) which is the first I can recall any "official" naming of it as such. I've always liked your knife and have had a friendly envy of it, though I'm also quite content with my similar F95R, which I've seen referred to somewhat ambiguously as a Nudist. I think of mine sometimes as the F95 version of of the original NeOn as their milling patterns are somewhat alike and my two knives share the same double, flapped pouch in repose. Here's a shot of mine.

I jumped on one due to the steel, full flat grind, satin accents of most of all the washers! The F95 is the clear leader of my Shiro collection so I’m looking forward to feeling this one in hand. I’m not crazy about the “braces” or “paper clip” design but I don’t hate it, I do like that its a nod to the past and I also like the 4mm blade thickness.Any thoughts on the new reissued F95 Braces? The 4mm blade stock is welcome to me in a larger folder. Photo borrowed from Shirogorov IG
Pretty much everything you stated for me too. I’m looking forward to carrying it. The breakdown for sure.I jumped on one due to the steel, full flat grind, satin accents of most of all the washers! robertlupus84 i love the Hati line of knives and I really love how they do the reverse style here from the standard “NL” versions of the F95. I hope they do this style as a production run at some point, the synthetic scale and Ti inlay looks awesome.

To me, and I’m no expert, bearings will ware the blade more over time. Also ease of adjustment and disassembly. What is the advantage of Washers over MRBS?
This one was gone in a couple of minutes on our side of the pond. Anybody noticed how long was it available on the US dealer's web-site?
I never liked the pattern, but it would be really interesting to handle a modern F95 on washers.
It is possible to have amazing action using washers, MachineWise manages it. I'd be curious to try a Shiro running on washers...To me, and I’m no expert, bearings will ware the blade more over time. Also ease of adjustment and disassembly.
Been looking closely at a Q95 ursus but I keep going back and forth on the color of the Micarta which looks very faded at times and intensely colored in other images. Yours looks light gray. Have you oiled your Q95 at any time to make the color more intense? Do you like the pale gray appearance? Thanks for your feedback!Shirogorov Ursus Q95 - Black Micarta Handle - Elmax Blade - MRBS
