THE leatherman thread

I never thought I would like the Skeletool. It looks like a nightmare... Then I got one for Christmas, and I have found it to be one of my favorite and most carried and used Leatherman products.
I think we all fell for that trap.

Everyone wants a full set of tools but the OHO blade and extremely lite weight are just too good to pass up.

Some pics for everyone!

That trimmed CX is now my harness knife. The pliers are not massive, but enough for jammed biner gates, and it is easy to rehang on my harness. I wouldn't mind them doing a sheepsfoot serrated version, and have emailed them to that effect. would make a pretty decent rescue knife I think. Not too sure what I'll use the screwdrivers for, but who knows? But I've been really happy with it so far, and not having extra tools is not a big deal since it would only mean they would be duplicated by whatever other knife or tool I had with me. And as yet, never needed a can-opener on the top of a high-ropes course.

Thought I'd bump this old thread as my leatherman needs have changed. Now I'm carrying a surge almost everywhere, now I just need to find a good belt sheath and bit kit for a good deal.

We Beckerheads have a saying that Becker Knives are like Lays potato chips in that you can't have just one.

Though I've carried and used a Leatherman for more years than I care to admit, to me they were just a tool - something that just was and while always there - passion was not part of the relationship.

I have to admit, that as I look through my knife drawer I realize that my Leatherman drawer is almost as full.

Leatherman tools are like Becker Knives in that they provide value, have a great company with active customer support:thumbup: and ... are like friggen' Lays potato chips!:D

Agreed. Carried a SAK for years, and when I got my first multitool (Leatherman, of course) I couldn't stop, and I've slowly acquired a lot of them. Pics of my collection since my good old LM:
