I am laying here, my wife just changed the bandages for the incision on my back. She had ordered some stuff to make the bandages stay better. The cap on the bottle was on there. So I grabbed a little molle pouch with a small tool kit in it . The main tool in it is a vicegrip/Shrade multi tool. I did a quick eBay search and these are going north of a C-note . Being the son of a salesman my first thought is 5x what I have in it. But then this my is my go to kit that I grab there is nothing made right now that will replace it in this kit

Same here. Less than a mile east of us a lot of big trees blew down, but whatever it was skipped over our neighborhood.

the contest was you get a paper bowl, a raw egg, one knife of your choice, and a ferro rod -- build a fire and cook the egg well enough to eat it.
I didn't take altitude into account, so cracked my egg while the yolk was still liquid - OTOH, a half hour or more later my fire was still burning, so I could have gone back to get a second one.
Johnny "won" for speed - but regretted it for a while.

I had first post surgery appointment today . Everything is healing well they were surprised that I was getting around with just a hickory walking stick

Spent 2 days on a "five hour job" adding a fifth wheel hitch to a truck with air bags in place of jounce bumpers. I was given hand written "suggestions" on a yellow legal sheet and a pile of steel tubing to help me figure it out. I guess he had good intentions. So, I made my own custom bracket extensions from 2 sizes of flat bar to attach the top air bag bracket to the fifth wheel bracket by welding. Battery was disconnected to save computer integrity. Yea, 5 hours is what it pays says I.
