I have a Jukka Hankala Lastu in route. Looking forward to its arrival.View attachment 1688785

He seems to make a comfortable looking handle. I've owned many a high end puukko and I'm always surprised at the sharp angles some makers put on their handles. I picture the makers with big meaty fisherman hands that have tons of padding, but anytime I do high torque cuts on knives like that they don't stay comfortable for very long... which always blows my mind. I'm thinking maybe they are just using them with gloves?

Kind of like most fast food restaraunts. They go to the trouble of buying the building, perfecting recipes, and other insane means of production all to hire some lifeless underpaid person to hand you a stale product at the very end of the finish line.

Long story short, I wish more makers paid attention to their handle shapes! At least on the multi-use blades that aren't specifically relegated to carving ;)

Arathol

I knew it was not spelled correctly, but was too lazy to look it up in my books..
Excited about the KTT - I have one marked like that, but thought it was owner's initials.
Thanks for some more education.
