LOL! Tortoises seem exotic today, but when I was a kid, just about every household had one. In the winter, you'd be advised to put them in a newspaper-stuffed cardboard box, and leave them in the shed to "hibernate". Of course, tortoises don't hibernate, the cold just sent them into shock!

This variegated Hosta was bought and planted at my parents house in 1988 when I still lived at home. It has lived at three different houses. At one time, I grew over 50 varieties of Hosta. I bet there are Forums and Instagram pages dedicated to growing and showing them. I’m not going to check though. I might get sucked back in.
