Thrifty Thursday... Cheap Traditional Knives

I forgot to post in this thread a week ago. As penance, I'll post a photo of a knife I haven't ever shown on BF until now. It's one of the knives in my Independence Day buying spree, and it cost almost 50% more than my usual $12 limit for "thrifty" knives. But I happen to have a photo of it handy, so behold my oriental "abalone" Queen City canoe:

My thrifty knife for THIS week is a Rough Rider "eureka" stockman:

Looks like I'm monopolizing this thread lately, but so it goes. I still adore most of my budget knives! ;)
Here's a Mora Basic 511 I bought last month, one of the very few fixed blades I have. It's pictured after I used it for the very first time as I made breakfast (oatmeal) at the Lake Huron cottage we're renting for the last 2 weeks of August.

Rough Rider has some knives that I think are appealing, but I just never seem to get around to ordering them (or they're out of stock when I'm putting an order together). One such knife I've been looking at for years is a spey blade knife with cast brass handles depicting cowboys. I finally ordered one last month.

I think I saw them on sale last month and ordered the cowboy knife. I was surprised at how well it was made.
Mine is a very solid knife, too. In fact, mine has a pull that's probably at the upper end of what I'd call acceptable. Can't wait for the brass to patina; it's TOO shiny right now.

That denim Half Hawk is very nice!!

I recently acquired a Rough Ryder denim micarta canoe. The dealer's description claimed the blades were stainless, but once I started using it, the patina indicated that the blades are some kind of carbon steel, as in jmh33 jmh33 's Half Hawk above.

My guess it is their T10 (?) or D2.

Imperial Frontier Medium Stockman that I bought years ago from a pawnshop for a pittance; the action was dead, but the springs looked good. Spent the evening watching a ballgame in my hotel room while flushing the joints with oil and working the action - still snaps well to this day and the blade steel is that good old Imperial carbon (maybe 1075) that sharpens up like the dickens.
