Today's Pile (groups of knives - traditional only)

I had @glennbad put stag covers on these for me a few years ago an they are some of my my most valued knives regardless of their monetary value.

Good to see your post today Randy and those sweet stag folders of yours.

After falling into rabbit hole after rabbit hole, I decided to limit myself to a "Deadly Dozen" for everyday use. I went as far as to create a list of criteria (🙄) that must be met before a new knife can be added all while staying under a certain average cost per knife. Here's nine of the twelve. The final three are TBD.

Things are coming along quite nicely!👌
You've definitely selected some winners. Good luck holding the numbers down.

Though feeling a bit ropey after the Covid booster on Tuesday.

I cleaned them all for the secound time today,a bit more in depth.

1 light wire brush
2 Fine Emery paper in the body
3 soapy toothbrush all over
4 dry then oil
5 oil on the wood

The opinels I dry cleaned
brushed the blades
Lightly sanded the bodys and then oiled the wood

My hands are in pain now and I wrecked my nails 😁

My CJ seems the best build quality, though old and pocket worn needed the least time.
The TL29 is also top notch quality along with the Wostenholms.
I do like the camp knifes as well though or I wouldn’t have bought em 😂
I used the awl on my SAK to pick out and scrape any gunge.

Last job I oiled my file handles.

Congrats on some mighty fine pickin's Johnny! Sounds like a lot of work but now they're all looking so soooo good.
After you rest up a bit maybe you could pop over to Jack's and help him with his "Virtual Table" pile. ;) ;)
Sometimes I wonder if those vaccines are worth the trouble. Feel better fast my friend.
