  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Traditional folders and watches/timepieces

I spent part of the day replacing the the clock in one of my grandfather's old clocks.

"Free Plus $4 Shipping" pocket watch (it actually keeps accurate time!) on a different watch chain than it came with.
"Remington" (note quotes) "Made in USA" canoe.
I don't know who made the canoe. I know Remington, Pal/UMC didn't make the pattern.
Bear and Son's said "Not Ours" when I asked them about it.
If anyone has an idea as to who made the "Remington" canoe, and about when, please speak up. :) There is no "R" number.

Really nice size for my taste, though I used to prefer the turnip-sized hunter's cases, and a pretty face.
Very nice pieces. Wish I knew something about maintaining vintage mechanical watches.
