What Buck are you carrying today?

If I was to send it in to Buck for a factory grind would they do that or replace the blade. I would like to keep the blade if possible.
My favorite vintage edition of this knife. That one looks great. I have never used the spa service but I think you can ask Buck to keep the original blade if at all possible. You might also post in the Buck maker forum. They do watch this space.IMG_5948.jpeg

That's a nice one you've got there. I'll look around here for more posts on Buck's service but will probably wait until I see it in person before getting too far ahead of myself. I am impressed by what I have read about Buck Knives and their policy and will most likely send it in for spa service at the least.

Good luck 👍
I never had any luck with stop leak, but I know others who have.
It’s a band-aid, for sure. I’ve only used it less than five times in my life, and only once I remember it not working on a heater core in a 2005ish Chrysler mini-van. But none of those cars were lifetime keepers.

My commuter is a 19 year old $1200 car. This got me home yesterday and looks like it will last a while.

I just noticed the lack of a nail knick on your 112 🤔
Is that common? I'll have to start paying more attention 🤓
The 112 didn’t have a nail nick from its introduction in ‘72 through ‘79 or ‘80. Others here can probably dial that in more precisely than me.

That’s one of the things that makes the BCCI Koa 112 Anniversary knife in 440C pretty cool, is the original blade profile without a nail nick.

Last I checked, they are still available on the BCCI site.

Thanks! I'm sure I've seen many on these pages, but for some reason it really jumped out at me today. Good to know what era they were. Learned something new 🎓🤓

Finally got my first buck and I do now understand the hype!
Congratulations, Jack. That is amazing. I have carried a Buck since I was a kid. As a young Boy Scout in Texas the 110 or 112 was one the “cool” knives to carry in a belt sheath on camp outs or even around town — even though they were fairly huge for us until we grew into them. But it seems like every grandfather and father carried a Buck so we had to too. As I got older I stopped hauling them around because they are so heavy. I much prefer the 301 for regular daily use. I loved having the 112 back in my pocket yesterday but it feels like carrying a Ford F150 pickup in my pocket!
