What knives have the highest demand with the lowest supply?

The one below is the larger Arius. Impossible to find the mini.

I would say how long do you have to wait to get one is a good measure. When I bought my first Randall around 1982 I think it was about six months to a year. What is it now? About six years?

As far as GEC ; I would have bought three or four as soon as I saw it in their fresh listing and their links to I forgetwhonow . . .
Never found a single one I wanted that was available .
I havent even looked at their site now for about a decade .
For the most part I prefer Case blade shapes and often Case handle shapes anyway even though the fit and finish , in the past, was not as good . Lately I have gotten some pretty dang good Case knives ( Dark Navy Blue Jigged Bone Trapper and Jigged Black Water Buffalo Horn big Folding Hunter ).

GEC : I have about thirty Case Trappers alone now . . . at least a few of those would have been GEC if only . . .
Not to mention the other hundred or so slip joints I have bought since .
Silly rabbits .
I agree; seems like every time I think I want a GEC the drops are some silly gimmick knife or yet another Barlow. These days for traditional I stick with Case or the occasional vintage.

The GEC supply/demand problem is very timely for me to read about because I was just at Blade 2025 in Atlanta and one seller had 4 tables of glass cases full of GECs for casual perusal, including a few boxes of "less desirable" patterns on acrylic and micarta still in their tubes.

After dealing with getting shut-out of limited drops that last 10 seconds, it was blowing my mind the be able to pick out what I liked with zero pressure like I was buying socks at Walmart.

Hard to say if it's inclusive of every knife ever made in any way.

The lists given so far are pretty good.

I would remove CRK and Hinderer from the list, and Koenig is on the way off the list as well. Koenig is still on there, but it's heading off.

Were you buying at primary market prices, or inflated secondary prices?

Seven years, but you can get one in a shorter time from one of the dealers. It would take about a year if they have still room for an order. Because Randall is more behind than ever, dealers can also get fewer knives now. I believe 30% less than normal. Especially the big Bowie's are more difficult to order from the dealers and have a longer wait because they take more time to make.

Yeah I did buy from one of them a number of times. Also bought a CRK from them too

There is a 5 year wait for a Randall Made.

Loveless, Lile, and Scagel knives pull top dollar because there are a very limited amount of them available.
