What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I followed Hickory n Steel’s example and got myself a Case Barlow in carbon steel and grey bone, then dyed it. I started with 20 minutes in Rit Dark Brown, then sanded it a bit and gave it 20 minutes in Rit Marigold. I’m calling the result β€œmocha brown”. IMG_4956.jpegIMG_4954.jpeg

Job One was to sharpen the BB pencil!!😁
