I have a 1991 Compact today, the first run that pre-dates the file on the back of the hook. Actually I think it's the first year the hook appeared.

Hey thanks mate, all the small model variations over the years interest me and the fact there so useful makes them fun to collect. To me a well used $10 knife with some history is more interesting then a $300 limited edition knife that has never cut a thing.
