I've read a lot of criticism regarding the dye on the 2025 forum knife, but yours is really quite handsome. Is that the way it came, or have you worked on it? In either case 👍👍👍

Or maybe its just your superb photography, Steve :D

A few noticed a tiny nick near the blade tip, said to be from a failed attempt at opening a paint can during a camping trip gone sideways.

I can assure you brother jim that this camping trip did not take place in canada for the simple reason that unlike Americans we do not take cans of paint camping, also at a very young age we are taught not to open paint cans with a pocket knife.

Thanks.
It is as it came.
I "think" the dye job was to approximate a (well worn) "pocket worn" look.
The 24 BF stockman with my (well worn) pocket worn Amber Peach Seed Jigged bone Case 6375:

Tho to be honest, the Case covers are not as shinny as the BF knife.

My superb photography??? 🤯🤣
Sorry. Took me by surprise. You're much to generous.

The only "cameras" I have are my "smart" phone and my tablet (the latter is good for out of focus shots. the auto focus is intermittant.)
I used to have some good cameras ... 35mm and medium format, but that was back in the '70's to mid 1990's.
Tho I am "thinking" of getting another Maranda D or G, and another Yashika A ... and maybe a inexpensive used digital point and shoot camera.

I can't do the development and printing anymore, so I might pass on the film cameras.

HA 🤣 ... Of course it wasn’t in Canada.
Americans bring paint to a camping trip, Canadians bring common sense ;)
So maybe it was a can of beans or a can of chili instead of paint.
Or maybe it was a renovation retreat rather than a camping trip.
Could have been campfire chaos or literary finesse. Dunno
But mostly it was just a raw bad idea and a slightly doomed pocket knife. Shoot :(
The story did state ... Some say it doesn’t help you so much as tests you ... and s/he failed
