I grew up across the river from a major dragstrip. I still remember the radio ads ~ "Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Oswego Drag Raceway!" Dad took me once in awhile ~ saw some famous heros like The Little Red Wagon and Hemi Under Glass. But even when we were heading to church on Sunday mornings, we could hear them making their runs.
When you stand there quietly, you'll hear the race cars.

$2000 for all that sounds like a good price. I had to replace my pump back in ought '22, and it was $2300 for the pump and control box. No new piping or pressure tank. Your plumbing sounds like mine - a combination of galvanized, copper and PVC. The pump that failed had been installed in 1979. The guy told me, "This one probably won't last that long."

He got us back up and running
Had him put in his best choice of pumps, but learned that it's not the run time that wears them out, it's the on/off cycling. Which is why we're going to get a bigger pressure tank.

My current favorite is the dark purple/almost black. Normally, I strip out the seeds all into one bucket, but this year I'm going to segregate by color.

Nice Case, Tim. I was working at a farm, and the female half of the owners got smitten by seed catalog pictures of multicolor carrots. So trying to be a go along/get along partner, I grew them in a 30"x50' row of compost. They got huge, but nobody ~ me or the clients, liked the red and white ones. So I need to hear back after you eat some.

Waiting for an Amber Bone 6375 Large Stockman to fall out of our mailbox. USPS has it marked "Out for Delivery". I've got one just like it but it never hurts to have multiples on hand. Besides, the one coming today is CV as is the one I have. Eggs and ???? for breakfast.
