But maybe this one today:

I am trying my hardest, but cannot think of a valid reason not to.
Heard a good sermon yesterday on Luke 13:11-16. Perfect illustration that Form Must Follow Function. As long as doing the right thing, and doing it well come first, Form, ie: Beauty will follow along.
Perfect metaphor for the Big Jack.

I'll be tote'n this Harness Jack 10 and a Moore Maker whittler today.

Lost a hackberry tree in last weeks storm. Really a shame since it was a great shade tree at the back fence and provided privacy from view of neighbors house. We've lost 5 mature trees and planted 6 since moving here 25 years ago.
I did manage to salvage the trunk for good use. Spent yesterday morning splitting it into to staves for making some self bows. Hackberry is a decent bow wood but splitting 6' lengths with a sledge and wedge's is not a lot of fun for an old guy.

That IS a lot of work. Do you paint the ends and let them dry?

How was your Trad Archery Shoot the other day?
