This Laguiole has been made by Mr Pierre Yves Joyeux from l'Atelier La Clé des Champs.
A very nice man and a great craftman.
The handle is in iron wood ans the spring is as it was is the past:

Feeling in need of some Charlow Power today (one of two knives I'm carrying)!

I was feeling like I needed some Iron this morning and I’m bummed because I missed out on the #77 Barlow’s for the first time since they started making them. So, I decided on these two today to fill the needs! Y’all have a good one!

That's interesting Rachel, I imagine the pattern would be pretty good for that. I read that all Japanese school kids carried Higonakamis at one time, and pencil sharpening competitions were commonplace. Perhaps somebody was trying to steal a lead!
