What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

So JJ...I came across this Robeson, never hearing the name before seeing your fabulous collection. It stood out, because it had all the touches I like. After acquiring it, I researched it, having been led to believe that it was manufactured somewhere between 1896 and 1899(because of the tang stamp). It wouldn’t have mattered when, because, I simply fell for it. Thank you.

Wow! Your first Robeson and you scored a real oldie, congrats man!! It’s a beauty, love the rat tailed bolsters and the bone is just killer. Is it an optical illusion or is one bolster larger? If so, even better, a rarely seen pattern! Hard to find another Robey like it but you have that time machine of yours so I’m expecting to see more!

Pockets are a little heavy today. I love the pocket tumbled patina the 33 has acquired over the years.

It's hot and humid here, again, so I picked out some stainless to tote and took Loki for a walk.

Now that we're back, he's resting indoors and I finishing up power washing our decks. Just living the dream!

Recycled pics because Loki was too excited for me to get clear photos.

Wow Harvey!!! That is an amazing Robeson that certainly hits on all cylinders; from the fabulous covers to the rattail bolsters (not to mention it's 120+ years old), a stunner!:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I can't blanm you, Nick. It's a real beauty and you show it well.
Thank you Stuart! I like that little fixed blade and your buddy is pretty awesome too!

I had the one on the right all week and then it’s younger brother also in bone showed up today just in time to ward off that Monday guy. Besides someone’s lousy attempt to remove the rust spots, it’s in excellent condition. May have been so lightly used but I believe it hasn’t been sharpened.
