What watch do you wear?

I just received this Timex mk1 in the mail, and I am quite pleased with the watch itself.


The band looks nice with the numbered holes the stitching and the quick release pins, however it's actually a crappy manmade material with a leather veneer.
It's poorly bonded too because the top wrinkles.
Would a cheap real leather not be cheaper than having to manufacture this crap even if they have to correct the grain ?


I don't know, but I've got a couple NATO'S inbound and will replace it asap.

I'll probably use the hardware of this thing and make another out of actual leather too.

Orient "Defender" automatic; no winding, no batteries, sealed crown good to 100 meters depth and only needs minor reset once a month. Just as important for those of my age; has day/night, date and day dials.
 
Wore a marathon for years. 4 years ago I had a pretty serious accident that required an ambulance ride and a rebuilt wrist. Haven’t seen the Marathon since that day. Since then its been an Apple Watch, does more then I could ever need and its so common no lowlife will steal it from an unconscious bleeding guy!
