What's that you're eating?

Well let's make some bold statements then. The only apple worth a damn is a large very crisp and tart Granny Smith. For some reason the "organic" ones tend to be smaller, less firm, and not as tasty.

Honeycrisp or Fuji for me. A few years back, we were getting some mind-blowingly sweet Fujis, but I'm honeycrisping it these days.

Don't give up on trying to find good organic apples. My understanding is that it is essential to eat organic apples, spinach, strawberries, and broccoli. You can hedge your bets on the other foods.

I’m partial to the honeycrisp.

FUJI is number 1.
Granny's are a SUPER close second but must be accompanied by fresh pretzel sticks.
This is great! Three people quoted me. I did say it was a bold statement. I'll eat one of the lesser apples from time to time, but nothing beats a good Granny Smith. Ideally I'll eat one every day.

I eat two small oranges almost every morning.

And regarding apples and oranges, you guys can keep them until I had my 2nd coffee and am opening my work email. :p

Mmmm... that stuff was addictive, as a kid. Introduced an adult friend to it a few years ago, and they got hooked on it too.

Their response, "How did I not know about this when I was a kid?!!! This stuff is AMAZING!!!". Yeah, your parents probably made a conscious choice, like mine did, of never taking us into an FAO Schwarz 😂 (first time I ever walked into one, was while in college, with some friends. "WOW!!! This toy store is AMAZING!!! Look at these GIANT stuffed toys, and all this stuff. Whoaaa... $699 for this stuffed lion. No wonder my parents never took us into one" 🤣

BTW, what the heck is up with the newer ads pronouncing it "Noo-Tella"? Like the idiotic trend of using 'Nu' as a trendy spelling for 'New'?

It was always "NUT-ella" when I was a kid, i.e. HazelNUT spread.

Actually, Nutella was too expensive for my mom ... so she always bought some non-brand hazelnut spread. Grandma bought us Nutella when we visited her a couple of times per year - and it seemed so much better. Talk about promoting an addiction :)

Roland.

Allergic to uncooked apples. Throat closes and it becomes Epi Pen or Sayonara. Can eat cooked apples, for example in apple pie. Also apple cider is OK. Years ago when I could still eat them may fave was . . . Golden Delicious.

Not allergic to Nutella. Just don't like it.
