Just curious, what would you do to the handle to (re)shape it?I don't know how long I'll be able to resist shaping the handle
Maybe I'm just odd, but anything I've ever bought with finger grooves hardly ever matched up with my fingers.Just curious, what would you do to the handle to (re)shape it?
Right, unless you get a custom it's going to be meant for the masses.Maybe I'm just odd, but anything I've ever bought with finger grooves hardly ever matched up with my fingers.
I see, thanks and post photos, please, when you're finished.Shape them like this. Make the knife not to blocky.
Yeah. Kinda like when they finally decided to replace our S&W 38 Special duty guns with semi-autos. They got Glock 21s. Generic ergonomics that manage not to fit anybody.Right, unless you get a custom it's going to be meant for the masses.
Nicely done! I’d like to do that with my FG 110. Looks very comfortable

Joe Houser had a write up on the 123, 125, and 127 fillet knives in the September 2012 BCCI newsletter. The 123 was introduced in 1983 with the 125 and 127 starting in 1984. I have a couple of old 123s and for the life of me I cannot get a sharp edge on these knives with a Work Sharp precision sharpener or with stones. There is something about that 425M steel. I have a couple of other 425M steel knives and have trouble sharpening them also.Hunting buddy knows I like fishing and I like Buck Knives (all my partners now carry Buck 110's - from my influence). He saw this at an estate sale and bought it for me. I'm thinking these were introduced around 1985 - anyone got anymore info on them? Buck 123 LakeMate fillet knife with Kraton molded handle. OH
