What's your newest Buck knife

I've preferred the 112 for a long time now:

I like the bit of finger guard the 112 has over to more rounded 110.

There's an old punished 112 sitting on the counter at my dad's store that someone left there. It's been the counter knife for years now. The blade is very much used up but it's still sharp and sturdy. That things has got to have a million miles on it before it even made it to the store lol.

I was looking at them a number of times but I can't seem to make up my mind between blade styles and finger grooves.

How do you like the finger grooves?

I prefer the slimmer, more rounded, second version - it makes a perfect suit coat pocket knife - but when I had a chance to fish it out of the bay for $30 shipped, it was a no-brainer. Especially considering that Buck’s hollow ground 425Mod is the best pocketknife steel ever.

I’ll be danged. I didn’t know this change to a slimmer design took place but I see it in your pictures. Even the blade looks thinner.

You’re welcome! And wow, I never even noticed that the blade itself looks thinner. I’ll have to measure the next time I have them out.
 
I've been really torn about ordering a new MAGANCUT 112 in the Custom shop.. I told myself I would not order any new ones UNTIL Buck gave us a DP option..in any steel. But NS Buffalo horn finger groves no rivets in Magancut IS a fantastic 112 and since I just tested positive for Covid (probably from Rehab) I think I need a new 112 to make me feel better..

Well, that settles it! You deserve that knife.

Plus, you probably already know that as soon as your new CS 112 arrives, they'll offer them in drop point the next week. :)

Call them. Maybe there are already plans on the drawing board for a drop point. Or, maybe the CS will just make you a one-off dp. You'll never know unless you call.
 
Got a 105 pro a little bit ago, just made my request to become part of the 105 club now. Got a 112 fixed blade in ebony, I think it was a BOTM .Working on getting another 112 slim pro. But still using my 110 LT until it comes.
