I bought 4 of these original Buck 808 FMC Talons. They do not have boxes or sheaths. Not one side except the handle have something that isn't sharp.
I've been wanting to make a sheath for the Talon, the kydex versions that originally shipped with the knife can be a real bear to get the knife out of due to the aggressive saw back. Wild Buck Knife for sure.20200807_070104.jpg 20200807_070126.jpg 20200807_070135.jpg 20200807_070141.jpg 20200807_070150.jpg 20200807_070239.jpg

Mike the 808 'Talon' shieth is beautiful! That is the 'Killigion Circumcision Tool' as it was dubbed here by another member when it first came out.. I consider it to be the wildest Buck ever made. And one on my very long list of cool Bucks I want to own but do not need lol!

Seems that Leroy told me Meier Steel made most of Buck's patterned steel back in the day and the earlier was Parker, or vice-versa. He suggested that the patterns weren't named like they are today; ladder, raindrop, etc... They ordered patterned steel and they got patterned steel.

One is Parker and the other is Meier. I don't recall which Leroy said was which.

Of course, I could be imagining all of this...

To me the bottom one looks like Meier and the top looks like Parker.
