Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Ok couldn’t wait so box number two had to be opened. I received this one from a non Bladeforums dealer so unfortunately can’t mention them. Boker Barlow black Micarta and it’s pretty nice also. Fit and finish is excellent and love the feel in hand and how light it is . Beautiful grind on this one to with the blade dead centered. The only issue is it’s a little lazy when closing you have to give it a little push on the second stage just before its closed. But opening it snappy and locks up tight with no blade play in any direction. I lubed it up and it’s better already. It’s a keeper in my book and really like it . Oh and the case is pretty impressive wow it’s nice !
Thank you bigfish64 bigfish64 for giving me that gentle nudge even though I couldn’t hear you I could see the beautiful pictures of yours 😁

I thought that might be the other one you mentioned. 😊
Looks nice, of the four all Micarta (no liners) Bokers I have so far (3 Barlows and a boys knife) three of them we’re a little lazy on the close at first, but they have all loosened up and are nice and snappy now. Wouldn’t surprise me if you experience the same thing Ed.

Cool That’s good news Todd because I really like it a lot 👍🏻 But either way it wouldn’t of been a dealer breaker and it’s a keeper.
Edit : Like I mentioned earlier that case is nice man and I can’t believe how beefy it’s and how well made.

I’m glad you like it, and I agree, Boker got the packaging right. 👍

Here are a couple that are new to me. Got this one yesterday, a Camillus 76, I got from a guy I work with that likes to go antiquing. 34824121-E6E5-4D81-93D4-390F1D033B14.jpeg
And this beauty 93 user came from Jeremy sbh06 sbh06 , a deal that was WAY to good to pass up and he threw in a slip, and an awesome little Olight keychain flashlight. Thanks Jeremy! 😎👍6C682B45-E7FA-41E3-8A33-4F50E81B2E31.jpeg

That Camillus is 🔥 Todd. I also enjoy being able to pass along good deals to Porch members that will appreciate them.

I posted this in the Brother Knives thread but it’s new so……
I just received the Brother Knives white bone lockback #1509. My impression as I opened the package was as follows. It’s a nice thick cardboard box, upon opening I pull out a nice canvas drawstring pouch. I pull out the knife hoping for a white bone but I see a more yellowish example. More on that. The knife itself has excellent f&f with very smooth transitions. It has a light pull (immaterial in a lockback) but locks up with a satisfying click with no play in any direction. It is sharp and is well centered. It has an easy release with a nice closing walk with more of a soft thud than a snap. It reminds me of the Bladeforums Viper of 2019 that way. I love the closed size of 3 3/4” with a handsome (can a blade be handsome?) clip point blade. Now back to the coloration. As you can see from the photos it’s not as yellow as I first thought and is actually quite satisfying.

You can stop searching now. You’ve found “The One.”
Thank you. It is truly the nicest custom I own. Nice pull with no bumps in the road and perfect tension, nice refined snap and not lazy closing. Blade is dead center and doesn’t even wiggle back and forth when it’s closed. No play any which way, great stag and 440v taboot. Tom absolutely knocked it out of the park!

Well, I wouldn't have spent $30 on this if it hadn't been described as my last chance at a discontinued Solingen knife. This must be by the American manufacturer they found to do their carbon steel knives. They use 1070 steel, which is fine, but the knife has a pretty scruffy edge, and the tang is too short for the threading to be of any use.
And they packed it without oil or wax, so it has a couple of rust spot starting.

I'd have been better off with a Green River Dadley, except this is thicker at the spine.
