Big ass knives...bowie, survival, combat, bushcraft...just big ass knives!

Here is One More Handmade Knife that I collaborated with my knifemaker friend and partner in the design. But he made the knife of course. This is the Only one so far that he and I worked together and designed.

All others are totally designed by me! Anyway, this one is called the PIT VIPER!! Full Tang D2 steel blade and closed knuckle guard. I posted this knife on Ebay and it Immediately got 110 LIKES within 10 minutes yesterday. Not even sure how many it has today! Anyway, here it is.

Dam, that things looks like it was MADE to inflict some major damage!

Yeah I thought that one was a BUSSE! I've not been able to snag a BUSSE knife but Soon...Soon! LOL.

I've never heard of S7 steel. But I'm guessing that it's a very good steel? My favorite steels are the Old School 440C and D2 steels! Ya just cannot go wrong with those guys! And also, I like the ATS-34, CPM 154, and S35VN Stainless Steel.

I also am a big fan of A2 and 440V steels. However, those are expensive and very hard to find these days!

You pretty much like the same steels I do. S7 steel is the toughest steel you can get in a knife and has been for a long time. It is used in jackhammer bits. But it does not hold an edge as well as many other steels which are tough enough.

Here is a thru hardened scrapyard dogfather to an Rc of 58. It bent way beyond 120 degrees. The steel is SR77 which is basically S7 with Busse's proprietary HT

I designed this knife and John (JK Handmade Knives) made the knife for me - it is big, thick and built to take it!

Hey thanks for info on S7 steel. I just might have to get with my partner and get a knife made with that steel.

I'm going to post a few more pics of Big Ass Knives that I have later today. But thanks for your posts guys! This is great and so many outstanding big ass knives!! I think we are going to have a lot of fun and information with this thread! And it b is Always great to learn new things and pick up on new info!!

Here is my whole collection of the Hollow handle and full round tang knives that were made for me by Andrew Clifford. There is just one missing from here though. It is a hollow handle Big Ass Knife that I actually designed and Andy made for me. He really complimented me on my Design. I will post pics of it later.

But in the meantime, here ya go! LOL. Ohh, just for the record, this is just a small Pinch of all the knives I have!! LOL! Not Bragging at all...But just been very Blessed and also very proud of my knife collection. And there's more to come so Stay.Tuned! LOL!

The Blackjack Marauder II, I consider one of The great big blade classics. Its not a machete but a hard wood chopper and produces a similar force to the GB Small Forest Axe pictured:

I now use a Skrama because of how controllable they are. Carries a hell sharp edge.

Bad Ass could be on looks alone. Bad Ass covers a lot of things.
Big blade to me is bigger than normal, well a specialist tool that is specialised due to its pure scale. Most of my utility/combat knives just too "normal" for this thread. Kukris are perfect as most are big and bad ass..
The large Rambo styles are bad ass too. Fun too, though I've yet to find one actually that practical. For pure theatre then enjoy.
I want to see some fighting, pig sticking bowies as the best are bad ass, big, and have style.

Personal taste comes into this a lot. For me style is in the eye of the beholder, but I like something to be actually practical even if specialised. Whatever floats your boat.

Hey man, this thread is for Any Big Ass Knife! Looks don't mean shit here, just like size don't! If you have knives that you are proud of owning and using, it does not matter if they look rough and rugged! They Belong Here...On This Thread buddy! LOL!

And besides, that "Normal And worn look"...Man, that just means that your knives are used a lot and you really depend on them.

Please don't stay away from this thread just because your knives are used and look used! Because that is one of the characteristics that I love and want this thread to be about...Knives That Are Used, that are in displays, that are hung on plaques...All of them.

Anyone's knife or knives are accepted here. There's no discrimination!!

Just viewed those BUSSE WTF knives!!! Ohhh man, those are real beasts!! Workhorse knives if you ask me! Right now my buddy is making for me a First Blood/Rambo Missions knife that is like none other. It is going to be all one piece and hollow handle. Going to be made with 30MM D2 steel that will be grinded down to 8 or 8.5MM for the blade! It will also have the Split serrations.

In other words, the idea of it is to look just like the First Blood and Rambo Mission knife except with no joining tang or guard at all. If my friend can make this, I think he will get more orders for it, and it will also soothe and satisfy any negativity by naysayers of hollow handle knives!

I am actually excited about this one! Rest assured that when it is finished and in my possession, there will be many pics of this big beautiful knife. And I think it just might be the very first First Blood/Rambo movie knife of its kind!!
