Going to Afghanistan.

Sgian Achlais- a bit bigger than your average sgian dubh.

10 1/4 inches overall. 5 3/8 inch blade. 7/64 along the tang, full distal taper and double edged convex.

5160, of course.

Not a utility knife.

"Not a utility knife."

Well, under the right circumstances, that wee beastie might prove very useful indeed. Cool design. Sort of Rob Roy meets Hadrian.

Very very nice. Would love to see some of those come up for sale here.....

Working on that. have to finish tweaking the new sheath design- which is actually the first sheath design I ever did for a meulla I carried in the middle east long ago.

It's really HARD to make a mag pouch sheath for this one. The other sheath needs it's oiling and polishing up tomorrow. It's probably one of my better designs

Doh! forgot photos of the langseax. which is taking a LOT of tweaky hand sanding.

But anyway:

Top left: black handle and blue spacers. Combat LBK. Finally almost done, having to do the index finger groove completely by hand for various reasons.

Right of that, USAF model 57, just mucking around with some 800 grit stuff.

FKUKs are the top three right hand knives, in various stages of completion.

down in the middle are three of my neckers. I can't decide what to enter in the contest so I'm making 12. The wenge one will look a LOT more trim soon, it's got 3/16 extra handle material along the top and botton.

something I'm working on-

10.5 inch overall small field dirk. 5.5 inch blade. Blued because it looks so freaking good with the caramel micarta. .23 inches thick, full convex, 5160. baton your cow femur!

I really tried to pull off something different on the front of the scales with the 1/4 guard. I think it worked out well.
