This thread needs to make a revival.


My all-time favorite SAK, the Vic Pioneer with brass liner. So slim and light. So useful. I love how the red alox wears over time. The simple Swiss cross looks indelibly iconic.

The precision with which these alox knives are made is really beyond my comprehension. The Swiss are able to pack so many tools into such a thin package, with no blade rub. Much to my chagrin, they kind of make American made scout knives look a bit Neanderthal in comparison.

A mint OC Farmer that has been safely tucked away in my collection for many years. Someday I'll be brave enough to start using it. But today is not that day.
