Thanks! The 99 is a 300sav. with the original Weaver K2.5 post crosshair scope and weaver pivot mount base/rings.
Lovely 102's gents. My mother re-gifted to me before her passing the 102 I gave her for Christmas around 1975-76ish when I was 11 or 12. Practically brand new with the box (which I tossed, not knowing). Handy little knife so I bought another in the Cocobola version. Almost too nice to use. Almost. Probably my favorite of all the fixed blade knives is the 102 model. I keep it in my truck bag for a just-in-case situation. Keep'em coming guy's.
Looks good, and the handle shape is much more my style.
I've given my mom pocket knives and made her a fillet knife from an old saw blade, but a hunting knife just wasn't a fitting gift for her.Only a very thoughtful and dedicated son would give his mother a hunting knife.
Lol. You’re a good son too. The only things I’ve given my mom is stress, grey hairs and some slippers.
Lucky for me she wasn’t expecting much from me. Just keeping myself out of prison seemed to keep her happy.
We camped a lot when I was growing up. Traveled all over the country on summer break. I thought she needed a "camping" knife.....lol.. I mean, I had a big bowie knife that I carried out in the woods...Did your mother use it, either hunting, fishing, or in the kitchen? A photo would be great.

I was born 20 years after my brothers, when my mother was 41 yo. So I was a "surprise"..... Apparently I was a handful....
