Unfortunately, mine is spinning in limbo and since arriving in Portland, it's been "In transit to next facility and Arriving late" for the past five days. I usually get it a day or two after it gets to Portland. I'll give it until next week before I start to get concerned though.

My faux snakewood 93 looks the same and I had a similar thought as you, that it looks like a mix between bocote and cocobolo.

I know most disagree, but I think standard grade snake wood is much more interesting the the high grade. The 93 is a top 5 GEC pattern, just about perfect.

Some of the best action I've got in my collection. I am really into the linen one with no etch and no pinch.

I have the entire first run of 93s that was produced. I was hoping to get this set too, but they are up to a bakers dozen with SFOs, wood alternatives and blade finishes. Getting this full set seems like a fools errand, but I am going to try and grab a couple.
